Notification For Deputy General Manager & General Manager Post Vacancy – RVNL
It is proposed to fill up the posts of Deputy General Manager (Level-12 (CDA) (E-5 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.80000-220000 (Revised), Joint General Manager (Level-13 (CDA) (E-6 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.90000-240000 (Revised) & Addl. General Manager (Level-13-A (CDA) (E-7 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.100000-260000 (Revised) (IDA Pattern) in Civil Department on Deputation/ Permanent Absorption Basis. The selected candidates will be posted in Metro Projects at PIU Kolkata in RVNL. The detailed specifications/ requirements of the post are enclosed as Annexure-I.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a premier schedule “A” PSU under Ministry of Railways engaged in CONSTRUCTION of Railway infrastructure of national importance invites applications from willing dynamic Engineers/ Officers to fill up the posts of Deputy General Manager (Level-12 CDA) (E-5 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.80000-220000 (Revised)), Joint General Manager (Level-13 (CDA)) (E-6 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.90000-240000 (Revised)) & Addl. General Manager (Level-13-A (CDA) (E-7 Grade, IDA pay scale Rs.100000-260000 (Revised) (IDA Pattern) on DEPUTATION/ PERMANENT ABSORPTION BASIS at PIU/ KOLKATA. The pay scales are likely to be revised shortly.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Deputation
For serving Railway Officials including those working on deputation in RVNL or in any other PSUs.
a) Joint General Manager/ Civil, (Level-13 (CDA)/ Rs.90000-240000/- (Revised) IDA Scale: Officers of Civil Engineering Department holding substantively
i) Posts in analogous grade (CDA/IDA) OR
ii) Posts in Sr. Scale (Level-11) post OR
iii) Posts in Gr-‘B’ (Level-10) & having 10 years of service in Group-‘B’ OR
iv) Posts carrying grade Rs.70000-200000/- (Revised) IDA for 4 years.
b) Joint General Manager/ Civil, (Level-13 (CDA)/ Rs.90000-240000/- (revised) IDA Scale: Offiers of Civil Engineering Department holding substantively
i) Posts in analogous grade (CDA/IDA) OR
ii) Posts in Level-12 (CDA) & having 8 to 12 years service in Group-‘A’ OR
iii) Posts carrying grade Rs.80000-220000/- (Revised) IDA for 4 years.
c) Addl. General Manager/ Civil, (Level-13-A (CDA)/m Rs.100000-260000/- (Revised) IDA Scale: Officers of Civil Engineering Department holding substantively
i) Posts in analogous grade (CDA/IDA) or
ii) Posts in Level-13 (CDA) & having 12 to 14 yearss service in Group- ‘A’ OR
iii) Posts carrying grade Rs.90000-240000/- (Revised) IDA for 4 years.
About Rail Vikas Nigam Limited
The Company was incorporated in New Delhi as a public limited company on January 24, 2003 as “Rail Vikas Nigam Limited” with the RoC under the Companies Act, 1956. The Company was issued its certificate of commencement of business on February 18, 2003. Further, the Company has been conferred the status of ‘Schedule A-Public Sector Enterprise’.
The MoR vide letter dated September 19, 2013 bearing reference no. 2010/PL/52/1, conveyed the approval of the DPE granting the Company the status of ‘Category I Miniratna Company’.

For serving Railway Officials including those working on deputation in RVNL or in any other PSUs.
a) Deputy General Manager (Civil), E-5 Grade (IDA Scale Rs.80000-220000/- (Revised).
Candidate working in the relevant discipline in the substantive Grade PB-3 scale Rs.15600-39100 with GP Rs.6600 or in level 11 in 7th CPC having 5 years Group ‘A’ Service or Senior Scale Officers (in level 11 in 7th CPC) having 08 years’ service in Group ‘B’.
b) Joint General Manager (Civil), E-6 Grade (IDA Scale Rs.90000-240000/- (Revised)
Candidate working in the relevant discipline in the substantive Grade PB-3 Scale Rs.15600-39100 with GP Rs.7600 (JAG) or level 12 having 8 years Group ‘A’ Service.
c) Addl. General Manager (Civil), E-7 Grade (IDA Scale Rs.100000-260000/- (Revised).
Candidate working in the relevant discipline in the substantive Grade PB-4 Scale with GP Rs.8700/- or level 13 (Selection Grade)
For Ex-Railway Official:
Ex-Railway officials can also apply, if they have either resigned or taken voluntary retirement from Railway service but not compulsory or prematurely retired from Railway service and/ or are working elsewhere in the similar fields.
However, Ex-Railway official’s eligibility for the position in RVNL will be reckoned with reference to their last Grade Pay/ Position as mentioned above. and age should not be above 57 years of age as on the date of issue of above notification.
The applicant should not only be technically suitable but also be physically fit enough to work at Project Sites.
The selected candidates will be offered position in RVNL on permanent absorption basis with respect to his eligibility vis-a-vis his last position in Railways and length of service as per the RVNL Rules.
Compensation Package: Company offers attractive pay and other allowances/fringe benefits attached to the post/grade as oer IDA pattern scale of pay. The selected candidates will be posted at any of the above locations where RVNL is executing Railway Projects as stated above. It is also made clear that no request for posting/ transfer will be entertained.
