Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for the following posts (Total 174 Posts) in the Operation & Maintenance Wing of BMRCL. While the details are available on the BMRCL website, following may be noted:

Applications will be received on-line only. No paper applications or applications through post / email etc. will be accepted.
Knowledge of Kannada is a must. ( The candidate should be able to Read, Speak, Understand and Write in Kannada).
Possession of Essential Educational Qualification prescribed in Col. No. 3 is a must . The candidate should have scored minimum 50% marks , in the essential educational qualification prescribed. The said 50% should be computed by averaging marks of all the years in the entire course like ITI/ Diploma / BE as the case may be i.e. total marks obtained in all years divided by maximum marks of all examinations. In case, instead of marks, Grades have been given, the middle figure of the range that the Grade covers should be taken as marks obtained for each subject and total percentage computed as per above prescribed procedure . Eg: If Grade 'A' range is 80 - 100, middle figure : 90 should be taken as marks obtained. The ITI Certificate should be recognised by NCVT / SCVT. Diploma / Degree should be from an Institute/organisation recognised by AICTE. Candidates possessing qualification equivalent to the relevant stream of ITI / Engineering Degree / Diploma may apply subject to the condition that they should produce satisfactory documentary proof from NCVT/ SCVT / AICTE / Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka certifying the said equivalence. Such document needs to be produced for verification when called for. If such document is not produced the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his /her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test .
As on 02.02.2019 age of the Candidate should not exceed the maximum age prescribed for the post. For Ex-servicemen ,the relaxation in age shall be equivalent to the number of years of service in armed forces plus 3 years, but in any case the maximum age not to exceed 50 years as on 02.02.2019. Matriculation plus two years ITI in any one of the following specific Engineering Trade Electrician / Instrument Mechanic / Mechanic Radio and TV / Electronics Mechanics / Wireman / Fitter / Mechanic Computer Hardware / Mechanic – Industrial Electronics / Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance / Mech. Communication Equipment Maintenance, Masonry, Carpentry, Building,Refrigeration and AC Mechanics Mechanic Mechatronics or equivalent qualification.
Namma Metro, also known as Bengaluru Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. As of October 2018 the third longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro and Hyderabad Metro. On the other hand, Namma Metro was ranked the 83rd largest metro system in terms of length and the 79th largest metro network in terms of number of operating stations in the world. It also contains the first underground metro line in South India. The metro network consists of two colour-coded lines, with a total length of 42.3 kilometres serving 40 stations. The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using standard-gauge tracks. The metro has an average daily ridership of 315,000 passengers. By 2023, the system is expected to complete its phase 2 network and provide connectivity to the city's important tech hubs of Electronics City and Whitefield. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, built and operates the Namma Metro. Services operate daily between 05:00 and 23:00 running with a headway varying between 4–20 minutes. The trains are composed of three to six cars. The power output is supplied by 750 volt direct current through third rail. Namma Metro was the second rail transport system in India to use 750 V DC third rail traction, the first being the Kolkata Metro.

Please note that no application on paper including hand written or typed will be entertained. - Before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility norms. The candidate should have the requisite Educational /Technical qualifications as on the closing date of submission of the application. Those awaiting results of the final examination need not apply. The ITI Certificate should be recognized by NCVT/SCVT. The Degree /Diploma should be from an Institute / Organization recognized by AICTE Candidates possessing qualification in the equivalent stream to the relevant Engineering Degree /Diploma / ITI may apply subject to the condition that they should produce satisfactory documentary proof in support of the equivalence. If such a document is not produced the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his /her position in the merit list prepared on the basis of the written test. Knowledge of Kannada in all the four attributes viz., reading, speaking, writing & understanding, is compulsory for all the posts. Knowledge of Kannada will be tested at the time of document verification. Those who do not have knowledge of Kannada will be disqualified irrespective of the marks scored in the written test.
