PERIOD OF CONTRACT APPOINTMENT

• The tenure of contract appointment will be initially for a period of 2 (two) years.
• The contract of appointment may be terminated by either side by giving 3 months notice or by paying the contractual remuneration of three months in lieu of notice period, if the circumstances so warrant.

About BMRCL

Namma Metro, also known as Bengaluru Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, India. It is the fourth longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro, Hyderabad Metro and Chennai Metro. It also contains the first underground metro line in South India. The metro network consists of two colour-coded lines, with a total length of 42.3 kilometres serving 41 stations. The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using standard-gauge tracks. The metro has an average daily ridership of 400,000 passengers. By 2023, the system is expected to complete its phase 2 network and provide connectivity to the city’s important tech hubs of Electronics City and Whitefield.

CONDITIONS

• Women candidates may note that duties in the Company may be arduous in nature and require working in the project site and during late hours.
• Any subsequent changes in the terms and conditions of this Employment Notification as per extent rules will stand good. BMRCL reserves the right to consider/ incorporate any subsequent changes/modifications/additions in the terms & conditions of recruitment under this Employment Notification as necessitated and applicable.
• Candidates should note that the Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate or equivalent Certificates as on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted.
• Possession of essential educational qualification prescribed is must. The candidate should have scored minimum 60% marks in the essential educational qualification prescribed. The said 60% should be computed by averaging marks of all the years and in all papers in the entire Degree course i.e., total marks obtained in all years divided by maximum marks of all examinations. In case, instead of marks, Grades have been given, the middle figure of the range that the Grade covers should be
  taken as marks obtained for each subject and total percentage computed as per above prescribed procedure. Eg: If Grade ‘A’ range is 80-100, middle figure: 90 should be taken as marks obtained or as per the formula prescribed by the respective University. The Degree should be from an Institute/Organisation recognized by AICTE. Document of equivalence needs to be produced for verification when called for. If such document is not produced the candidate shall be disqualified irrespective of his/her position in the merit list prepared.
• Candidates who have been shortlisted will only be called for document verification, before considering their candidature for appointment. The candidates will have to appear for document verification at their own cost.
• Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/appointment shall be a disqualification.
• Any legal issues arising out of the Employment Notification shall fall within the legal jurisdiction of Bangalore Court/s.

SELECTION

• The selection will be made strictly as per merit, on the basis of Gate 2019 score. Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of the original documents and Kannada test.
• If equal GATE score is obtained by two or more candidates, then the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration for preparing the merit list. The elder candidate will be shown as senior in the merit list
• The appointment of selected candidates is subject to final verification of educational qualification, age, and verification of antecedent/character of the candidate.
• BMRCL reserves the right to conduct additional written examination / skill test / medical test/ document verification at any stage. BMRCL also reserves the right to cancel part or whole of any recruitment process at any stage.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Documents in support of qualification shall be sent along with the application. They shall also submit copy of hall ticket for having appeared GATE 2019 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). Non-submission of documents along with the application, will lead to rejection of application at any stage during the process of recruitment.
• Candidates are requested to update GATE 2019 hall ticket number and marks scored in the space provided in the website.
• The number of vacancies indicated in this Notification is provisional and may increase or decrease depending upon the actual need. BMRCL also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all.
• BMRCL reserves the right to assess fitness or otherwise of the candidates selected.
• BMRCL shall not be liable for any damage/injury/loss to the individual, if any, sustained during the entire recruitment process and journey.
