Provisional Panel for appointments at various posts in Pay Band 1 + Grade pay Rs.1800/ notified vide Employment Notice No. RRC/ECR/Group D/1/2010.
In reference to the above employment notice, written examination was conducted in May & June, 2012. A Provisional Part Panel for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates (exempted from Physical Efficiency Test) was published on 28.09.2012. Then in October, 2012 Physical Efficiency Test (PET) was conducted for non – PH candidates in which 19,607 candidates were called (3 times the number of community wise vacancies, viz UR – 2524, OBC – 1922, SC – 1398, ST – 557). 7253 candidates were called for document and candidature verification (number of vacancies + 20%) and subsequent medical examination. From UR merit, only 2591 candidates could qualify the PET, so 2591 were called. In other merits, PET pass candidates were more than the requirement (vacancies + 20%). Therefore, from OBC, SC & ST me rits 540 such candidates could not be included in the next stages even though they had qualified written examination and PET.
After document and candidature verification and subsequent medical examination, a provisional panel of 5876 candidates (2149 UR, 1845 OBC, 1342 SC & 540 ST) is being recommended for their appointment in Pay Band 1 + Grade Pay Rs. 1800/ subject to fulfillment of all the recruitment conditions. Provisional panel is available on Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway website www.rrcecr.gov.in
233 such candidates who either remained absent in medical examination or are fit in lower medical category or are still under medical examination could not be included in the above list. However, individual letters are being issued to them to enable them to offer their appeals/representation, if any.
Provisional panel of 5876 candidates has been recommended to the Chief Personnel Officer, East Central Railway, Hajipur for further action. Details indicating allotment of post and division/unit of each of the above candidates are available on Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway’s website (www.rrcecr.gov.in). Candidates are advised to contact Senior Divisional Personnel Off icer of allotted Division or Senior/Assistant Personnel officer in case of allotment of Plant Depot/Mughalsarai or Workshop/Samastipur in due course for completing further formalities with regard to their appointment. The empanelled candidates should note that the panel is purely provisional and does not conferthem any right to appointment on Railway until fulfillment of further requisite formalities to be conducted by above mentioned Personnel officers. Seniority of the empanelled candidates will depend on the final panel issued by Railway Recruitment Cell only and not on the date of appointment
of any particular candidate in any particular seniority unit.
The cutoff normalized marks are as under:
UR merit: 93.27, OBC merit: 80.05, SC merit: 58.14 and ST merit: 48.63
