Last Date and Time for residents of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim. Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi sub¬division of Chamba district[ of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands and candidates residing abroa& 18-09-2013 at 18:00 Hrs.
Applications are invited from eligible Ex-Servicemen who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below for filling up the 273 Group ‘D’ vacancies in Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of 1800 in North Eastern Railway and RDSO/Lucknow.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Ex-Serviceman who has retired after putting in 15 years of service and has passed Army Class-I certificate or equivalent will be considered eligible.
PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT OF EX-SERVICEMEN:
3.1 : The recruitment shall he on the basis of scrutiny of applications and the Ex-Servicemen should he medically fit for the job being considered for.
3.2 :The. panel will be formed primarily on the basis of Ex-Servicemen’s length of Military service.
3:3 : COMMUNITY CERTIFICATE
3.3.1 For SC/ST category of Ex-Servicemen only: The candidates claiming to belong to SC/ST are required to produce Community Certificate from the competent Authority in the prescribed format (Proforma is available in the website) and enclose a copy of the same with the application.
3.3.2: For OBC category of Ex-Servicemen only, (I) The candidates claiming to belong to OBC communities are required to produce Community Certificate from the competent Authority in the prescribed format (Proforma’ is available in the website) at the time of Document Verification. (ii) The Community Certificates produced by the OBC candidates should specifically indicate that the candidate does not belong to persons / sections (Creamy layer),
HOW TO APPLY:
5.1 APPLICATION FORM: The proforma of ‘Application Forma given in this notification should be on a good quality, A-4 size plain paper, using one side only. Candidates should fill up the required information in his/her own handwriting using a blue or black ball point pen only. (Candidate can also download application from RRC website)
5.2 ; Photo: One passport size photograph (not older than one month) should be pasted on the application form, at the space specified.
5.3 Application in the prescrihed format, complete in all respects along with all the enclosures should be sent in a cover duly superscribing in bold letters’ “Application for Recruitment against Ex-servicemen Quota” to the following address.

5.4 : All the candidates should send their application well in advance before the closing date. RRC, Goralthpur, will not be responsible for any postal delay/wrong delivery for whatsoever reason, at any stage of the recruitment process.
5.5 Filled in applications can also be directly dropped in the box kept in the Office premises of RRC, Gorakhpor at the above mentioned address on or before the closing date and time.
