Application Fee : Rs.60/- (for posts 1-7) Rs.40/- (for posts 8-9) for the General and OBC candidates only in the form of IPO / DD in favour of Assistant Secretary/Secretary/ Member Secretary/ Chairman of concerned RRB where candidate wants to apply. No examination fees for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Physically Handicapped / Women / Minorities / Economically backward classes candidates having annual family income less than Rs. 50000/-.
How to Apply : Application in the prescribed format should be send to the Assistant Secretary/ Member Secretary of the concerned RRB where candidate want to apply . Candidates can also apply online at respective RRB websites. The envelope containing the application should be clearly super-scribed “Application for the Post/s of ___________Category No./s ________Centralised Employment Notice No. 02/2012 of RRB/ , Community (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM)”.
About the Organization
Ministry of Railway’s (Railway Board) vide their letter No. E(NG)-II/96/RR-1/62 dated 18-07-05 delegated powers for Recruitment to Group ‘D’ post to General Managers. In pursuance to this Railway Recruitment Cell was opened in Indian Railway.
Railway Recruitment Cell is entrusted with the responsibility to make recruitment to all Group ‘D’ posts on Eastern Railway and other units in it’s jurisdiction.
Set-Up :
RRC is headed by Dy. CPO (Recruitment). He is assisted by one Asstt. Personnel Officer (Recruitment), The Cell has 12 pinpointed Group ‘C’ posts (at present 4 posted) and 5 Group ‘D’ staff on roll.
RRB calls applications from the eligible applicants through “Employment News” (A publication of the Government of India) for various Technical and non-technical categories as well as Para medical posts in Group ‘C’ cadre, as per indent(s) submitted by Chief Personnel Officer of South Western Central and Rail Wheel Factory. The employment notification is also being published on the Internet website (http://www.rrbbnc.gov.in/). Indicative notification is also given through prominent National & Local dailies for wide circulation. The applications, as received in response to such notification, are scrutinized for eligibility and the eligible candidates are called for a written examination with call letters being sent a month in advance of the date of the examination. The examinations are generally held in various schools/ colleges/Institutes of different cities depending upon the number of candidates.

The selection process is based on merit and is subject to the rules and regulations issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), which includes reservation of jobs for certain castes/communities such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Communities (OBC). Ex-servicemen and Persons with disability (PWD).
The entire recruitment system is computerized and functions impersonally without fear or favour. There is no scope for corruption, influence or discretion in this process. Candidates indulging in malpractices and unfair means are dealt with strictly.
