ANAESTHESIA:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Anaesthesiology recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
ANATOMY:
Individuals who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Anatomy recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
BIOCHEMISTRY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Biochemistry recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
CANCER SURGERY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Surgery recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
CARDIOLOGY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Medicine recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
COMMUNITY MEDICINE:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Community Medicine recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
CTVS:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Surgery recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
EMERGENCY MEDICINE:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/DNB recognized by NMC (Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Pulmonary Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery or qualification recognized equivalent thereto). Priority will be given to Emergency Medicine recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
ENDOCRINOLOGY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/DNB in Medicine or Paediatrics recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
FORENSIC MEDICINE:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Forensic Medicine recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
HAEMATOLOGY:
Candidate should possess MD or equivalent in Medicine or Pediatrics recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining. Aspirant with M.D. or equivalent in Pathology will not be eligible.
LAB ONCOLOGY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Pathology recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.
MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY:
Candidate should possess MDS or Equivalent in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery recognized by DCI and having registered with Delhi Dental Council before joining.
MEDICAL ONCOLOGY:
Candidates who have passed MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiation Oncology recognized by NMC and having registered with Delhi Medical Council before joining.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Shortlisting: Three candidates will be shortlisted for each vacant post
Department Assessment:
Candidates three times the number of vacancies or less (if not available) who qualify screening test will be called for department assessment
Weightage of Assessment: 40 marks
Breakup of 40 marks:
Assessment Chairman: 10 marks
Subject Experts (10 marks each): 30 marks
Publication: 01 marks for each (Maximum 04 marks)
Presentation of paper in CME/Conference etc.: 01 marks for each (Maximum 03 marks)
Distinction/Awards/Medals during MBBS/MS/MD: 01 marks for each (Maximum 03 marks)
Merit List Preparation:
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of combined marks of Screening Test and Assessment
Candidates equal to number of vacancies available will be selected in each category
A panel of waitlisted candidates will also be prepared equal to the number of vacancies (provided such number of qualified candidates are available in each category)

Important Instructions:
Crucial date for determination of eligibility with reference to Age and Educational qualification will be the last date of submission of online application
PG result should be declared on or before the last date of submission of online application. In case of DNB, both theory and practical results should be declared
All candidates may be allowed to appear in written examination on the basis of declaration in online application without scrutiny. If any ineligibility is detected at any stage, candidature will be cancelled
Candidate can apply in only ONE department/speciality and submit only ONE SUBMISSION, otherwise candidature will be cancelled
No separate call letters will be issued. Candidates should visit official website www.vmmc-sjh.mohfw.gov.in regularly for all notifications
Candidates already employed should submit No Objection Certificate from present employer at the time of assessment/interview
Tenure of Senior Resident is three years including any service rendered earlier. Appointment will be initially for one year, extendable annually based on satisfactory work/conduct
Inter-hospital/institution transfer shall not be permitted
No TA/DA will be paid for attending exam/interview

Certificate in support of age (10th class certificate)
Registration with DMC for both MBBS and PG (for all applicants except Dental/Maxillofacial Surgery)
For Dental/Maxillofacial Surgery – Registration with DDC or any State Registration for both BDS and MDS
MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Pass/Experience Certificate
SC/ST/OBC Caste certificate/PwBD certificate (if applicable) in prescribed format by Government of India
EWS applicants: Income & Asset Certificate having date of issue on or after 01.04.2025. Must bring copy of Form 16/ITR for financial year 2024-25 (if working), income proof/certificate/ITR/Form 16 of both parents and siblings below 18 years, spouse and children below 18 years
OBC candidates: Latest OBC certificate issued on or after 01-04-2025 by competent authority in DOPT format
