Recruitment of sports personnel in PB-1, Rs 5200-20200 +1800(GP) in HQ Division for the year 2012-13
It has been decided to form a panel for recruitment in the following discipline exclusively for Male candidates, on Headquarter Division, Northern Railway

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
2.1 Citizenship:-Only candidates who are citizen of India are eligible 2.2 Education Quaff cation:-    Pass
2.3 Age Limit – The sports person should be minimum of 18 years of age and maximum of 25 years of age as on 01.01.2013

SPORTS PERFORMANCE:
Candidates applying for Recruitment must fulfill the following minimum sports Performance criteria:-
a. Represented the country in any of the Category-C Championships/ Events:
Category C
Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior category)
Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior category)
South Asian Federation Games (senior category)

b. At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (senior category) OR

c. Represented a state or equivalent unit in senior/Youth/Junior National Championship
OR

d. At least 3rd position in senior State Championships for all units and Districtofthc state.
OR

e. In addition to above, candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria can also apply.
In Cricket At National level, following sports achievements in Four days /One day limited over/Twenty -20 over Men Cricket Championships (except Vizzy Trophy ) organized under the aegis of BCCI may be considered.

NOTE
26. For recruitment of Sports persons on the basis o sports achievements in Junior National Championships, the following age groups shall only be considered.
(i)    Cricket (U-22) Col.C.K.Nayudu Trophy (inter state Championship)
(ii)    Cricket (U-19) Cooach Bihar trophy (Inter State championship)
(iii)    Cricket (U-19) Vince Mankad trophy (One day limited over Inter state Championship)
(iv)    Cricket (U-19) Vijay Hazare Trophy (One day limited over) All India Inter Zonal Championship)
(v)    Kabaddi (U-19) Junior National Kabaddi Championship.

All the championships mentioned above should be conducted under the aegies of recognized International/National/State sports federations and also recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board. Sports achievements in the current and/or immediate previous two Financial years i.e. 2010-11, 2011-12 shall be taken into account and Therefore Sports achievements on or after 01/4/2010 shall only be considered for appointment and Sports person should be an active player.

ATTESTED -CERTIFICATES:
Only attested copies of certificates regarding sports performance, educational qualification, date of birth. Caste certificate should be sent alongwith the Character Certificate of the institution last attended otherwise application will be treated as cancelled.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection procedure for short listed eligible candidates would involve:-
(1) Trials of sports performance.
(2) Interview-assessment of sports achievements, educational qualifications and other criteria for selection.
(3) Original certificates of date of birth. educational qualification, sports achievements may be shown at the time of trial and interview otherwise the candidate will not be allowed to attend the trial procedure.

HOW TO APPLY
The candidates fulfilling the conditions regarding eligibility of age, educational qualifications and other eligibility criteria should apply for the post notified as per application formats given atAnnexure-A (attached herewith) on a good
