The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd, a Joint Venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid Transit System for Delhi. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Lifeline of Delhi, prides itself on its ability to nurture its employees through its unique work culture. Today, DMRC empowered by about 14500 employees with MRTS activities spread over Delhi & NCR. In addition to the above, DMRC is involved in providing consultancy services to a number of cities within India and abroad.

To meet with the increased activities of DMRC and for Phase IV works, there is an urgent requirement of manpower for Civil department on deputation basis. Applications are invited from experienced, dynamic and motivated officers of Indian Railways, having relevant work experience, for the post of General Manager (Civil) to be filled on deputation basis.

Qualification/Eligibility criteria

Officer should be working or empanelled in SAG level (officers working in Non-Functional SAG may also apply). The officer should have varied experience of working in Railway Civil department and should be conversant with functioning in computerized environment. Hands on knowledge on various computer applications, relating to the job is desirable. Officer should be free from D&AR and Vigilance enquiry.

The Delhi Metro is a rapid transit system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh, in the National Capital Region of India. It is by far the largest and busiest metro in India, and second oldest after the Kolkata Metro. The network consists of Eleven colour-coded regular lines serving 285 stations with a total length of 391 kilometres (243 mi). The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using both broad-gauge and standard-gauge. Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips daily, starting at around 05:00 and ending at 23:30 hrs.

Construction started in 1998, and the first elevated section (Shahdara to Tis Hazari) on the Red Line opened in 2002. The first underground section (Vishwa Vidyalaya – Kashmere Gate) on the Yellow Line opened in 2004. The development of the network was divided into phases. Phase I with 3 lines was completed by 2006, and Phase II in 2011. As of 2019, Phase III is in the finishing stage, and scheduled to be mostly complete by the end of the year. Construction on Phase IV is expected to start in 2019.

Selection Process

The candidates will be screened by a Screening Committee consisting of three Directors of DMRC. The candidate’s suitability will be decided, keeping in view the job requirement. The selection process would comprise of assessment of different facets of knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude, physical fitness etc. All related information shall be available only on website: http://www.delhimetrorail.com and candidates must remain in constant touch with it. Pay and Allowances

The officers will be eligible to draw parent department pay plus deputation allowance. The details is annexed at Annexure-II.

Note: The applicants may submit simultaneously a copy of the application to their administrative officer (HQ/Department, etc.) for forwarding the application to DMRC, indicating No Objection, Vigilance/D&AR clearance/APAR, etc. The applicants may apply through proper channel for selection on deputation basis to the above mentioned vacancies in the prescribed proforma. Zonal Railways etc may forward the applications of eligible applicants along with vigilance/D&AR clearance and APARs to Corporate Office/DMRC, New Delhi.
