Recruitment for various categories under GDCE Quota were notified vide HQ/ECR’s Notification No. ECR/ HRD/ Rectt/GDCE/2016. Written Exam for Commercial Clerk/Jr.Clerk category was held on 09.04.2017 and that for ALP category was held on 08.04.2017.
Notification For RESULT OF COMMERCIAL CLERK & ASSISTANT LOCO PILOT FOR VOC – OF RRC
2. For Commercial Clerk: The cadidates shortlisted on the basis of Written Exam are being called for Document & Candidature Verification. As per extant instructions, 30% extra candidates have been called in Document & Candidature Verification . Thus, the community-wise break-up of candidates shortlisted for Document & Candidature Verification (VOC) is as under:
- UR Main merit -11, 30% Extra UR-04 (01 additional candidate having same marks) OBC Main merit -05, 30% Extra
- OBC-03 (01 additional candidate having same marks)
- SC Main merit -03, 30% Extra SC-01
- ST Main merit -01, 30% Extra ST-Nil
Total-20 in Main merit and 08 as 30% Extra (details of Roll Number of candidates shortlisted for Document and Candidture Verification and programme of VOC is given in Annexure –I).

3. For Assistant Loco Pilot category: As per extant instructions, candidates equal to 8 times the community-wise vacancies were called for Aptitude Test. Aptitude Test was conducted on 28.07.2017, 29.07.2017, 31.07.2017 & 01.08.2017 at E.C.Rly Senior Secondary School, Danapur. From amongst the candidates who have qualified the aptitude Test, Shrotlisted candidates on the basis of combined merit of Written Exam & Aptitude Test are being called for Document & Candidature Verification. The community-wise break-up of candidates shortlisted for Document and Candidature Verification is given below:
- UR Main merit -99, 50% Extra UR-51 (01 additional candidate having same marks)
- OBC Main merit -52, 50% Extra OBC-27 (01 additional candidate having same marks)
- SC Main merit -29, 50% Extra SC-03 (only 03 available)
- ST Main merit -14, 50% Extra ST-05 (only 05 available)
Total-194 in Main merit and 86 as 50% Extra (details of Roll Number of candidates shortlisted for Document & Candidature Verificatin & Programme of VOC is given in Annexure-II).

4. For Junior Clerk category: Typing Test was held on 27.07.2017. Result of candidates shortlisted after Typing Test for Document & candidature Verification shall be published in due course.
Note:
- Those called for Document & Candidature Verification(VOC) as 30% or 50% extra candidates shall be considered community-wise in order of merit only in the event of shortfall in the main merit list due to absenteeism, rejection etc. It should also be noted that candidates called as 30% or 50% extra in UR merit will go to the top of their community-wise merit in the event they are not empanelled in UR merit. So, the candidates of main merit of OBC/SC/ST category may also not get selected to the extent of such movement of candidates from 30% or 50% extra UR merit.
- The call letter for VOC shall be uploaded on RRC/ECR’s website: www.rrcecr.gov.in in due course. Candidates may print Call Letter from the website and appear in VOC as per instruction contained in the Call Letter. VOC for Commercial Clerk and Assistant Loco Pilot category will be held on 04.10.2017, 05.10.2017 & 06.10.2017 at Railway Recruitment Cell Office, Polson Complex, Dighaghat, Patna-11 AS PER PROGRAMME GIVEN IN Annexure I & II.
- The candidate must be a working regular employee of East Central Railway. Only those candidates shall be allowed to appear in VOC who are officially spared by their respective atuthorised Unit Incharge of place of posting. If a candidate does not produce official sparing letter to appear in VOC, he/she will not be allowed to appear in VOC under any circumstances. Other conditions/instructions printed on Call Letter must be followed.
The result of Written Exam is totally provisional and empanelment & appointment of a candidate will depend
completely on fulfilling all necessary conditions including being found fit in requisite Medical Category in the Medical Examination.
