Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi has released a notification inviting eligible candidates to apply for the position of Senior Resident under Senior Residency Scheme. If you are interested in this position, here are some important details you should keep in mind:
- Application Format: The candidates should fill the application form on an A4 size paper in the prescribed format and attach all the requisite enclosures.
- Walk-in Interview Date and Time: The date and time of the walk-in interview are specified against each specialty. Candidates should note that any request for a change in dates will not be entertained.
- Reporting Time and Venue: Candidates should report at the Auditorium, 1st Floor, Academic Block, Northern Railway Central Hospital, New Delhi on the specified date and time of the walk-in interview at 8:30 AM with the duly filled and signed application form and self-attested copies of all the requisite documents. They must also carry all the original documents for verification.
- Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on a Walk-in Interview basis. After verification of documents, only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the interview. All documents have to be produced in original at the time of Interviews along with the self-attested copies.
- Vacancy Status: The notification specifies the vacancy status and the dates for the walk-in interview for each specialty.
Make sure to follow the instructions mentioned in the notification and attend the walk-in interview on the specified date and time with all the necessary documents as mentioned above to be considered for the position of Senior Resident.

Eligibility Criteria:-
(A)Educational Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree recognised by MCI/NBE in the concerned Specialty.
- Post Graduate Diploma recognised by MCI/ NBE in the concerned Specialty.
- SR-ONCOLOGY:- Candidates should be MD/DNB ( General Medicine) or MS/DNB (General Surgery) with one year experience in Oncology/Onco-surgery .
Northern Railway Central Hospital in New Delhi has set certain eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the post of Senior Resident under Senior Residency Scheme. These include:
(i) The candidate should have a Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognized university/institution.
(ii) The candidate must not have completed three years of Senior Residency in any recognized institution including regular and ad-hoc period.
(iii) In case of non-availability of candidates with PG qualification, candidates without having PG qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS can be considered for a period of one year only.
(iv) The candidate should have completed the tenure of PG Degree/ Diploma before the date of the interview.
(v) For SR selection in all specialties, candidates must have a valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) /Delhi Medical Council (DMC) /State Medical Council. In case a candidate doesn’t have registration with Delhi Medical Council (DMC), they will have to apply to Delhi Medical Council for registration, before joining. The proof regarding the same will have to be submitted at the time of joining.
Interested candidates should ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification before attending the walk-in interview. Candidates who do not meet the specified eligibility criteria will not be considered for the post.
