Kochi Metro is an under-construction metro system for the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. The first phase is being set up at an estimated cost of 51.81 billion (US$770 million), and is expected to be completed by March 2017, revising the previous deadline of 1 November 2016

Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute
Minimum 17 years experience. Out of the 17 years experience, the candidate should possess at least 8 years or more in one or more metro in designing in metro viaduct, depot etc involving structrual design, preparation of DBR (design Basis Report), preparation and handling of DDC contracts for metro structures / similar structures. Persons with experience in reputed private sector organisation in senior management level and possessing 17 years of post qualification experience in Executive service are also eligible. Preference will be given to candidates with Metro/Indian railways back ground. TENURE: On contract basis for three years, extendable for further periods on mutually agreed terms and conditions and also based on project requirement. JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be responsible for making all design related works pertaining to Kochi Metro Rail and its allied projects.
