For candidates residing abroad and Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti districts and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands: the closing date and time is 07.11.2017 at 17:30 Hrs.
JOB DETAILS:
1.Post:Â Sports Quota
No. of Vacancy:Â 21 Post
Pay Scale:Â Rs.5200-20200/- GP-Rs.2400/- or Rs.2800/- or Rs.1900/- or Rs.2000/-
Educational Qualifications:
- Category (1) – Minimum Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Category (2) – Minimum 12th Class (+2 Stage) pass.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
- Sports persons having sports norms for higher Grade Pay and who have applied against the vacancies for the lower Grade Pay can be considered for recruitment against the Grade Pay applied for only. In such cases the sportsperson has to give an undertaking that he/she will not claim for higher Grade Pay after joining the Railways, on the basis of sports achievement he/she has acquired prior to joining Railways.
- Two self-addressed envelopes (11” X 5”) should be sent along with the application.
- Last date of receipt of application is 23.10.2017 (17.30 hrs.) and 07.11.2017 (17.30 hrs.) for the candidates residing in places as separately mentioned at the top of the notification.
- Application for Category (1) & (2) to be sent in a closed envelop superscribed “APPLICATION FOR SPORTS QUOTA RECRUITMENT FOR THE YEAR 2017-18’ indicating the category, by post or to be dropped in a drop box at the address mentioned in Item-A above. (ii) All copies of certificates submitted along with the application should be duly attested by a Gazetted Officer.
- SC/ST candidates will be given free travelling authority for attending the selection trial etc.
- The selected candidates should accept posting anywhere in Eastern Railway.
How to Apply Eastern Railway Vacancy: Interested candidates may apply in prescribed application form along with attested copies of relevant documents, Income Certificate, two recent passport size photograph, two self-addressed envelopes of size (11” X 05”) & application fee send to The Chief Personnel Officer, Eastern Railway Headquarters, Eastern Railway Sports Association’s (ERSA) Office, 17, Netaji Subhas Road, Fairlie Place, Kolkata-700001 on or before 23.10.2017.
