Recruitment against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2011-2012.

Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Indian citizens for recruitment in posts having Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 in ICF against Sports Quota satisfying the eligibility criteria viz. specified achievements in the field, Age & Educational qualification for the post applied. No relaxation is possible in age and educational qualification requirements.
The number of posts required under various disciplines are indicated in the document file in the given link below.
Age Limit
Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2012. i.e Sports person should have been born between 02.01.1987 and 01.01.1994. No relaxation in lower or upper age limit is permissible.
Important instructions on sports criteria
(a) Since the above requirements are for Men’s teams, only men are eligible to apply.
(b) All the championships mentioned above should have been conducted under the aegis of recognized International/National/State Sports Federation and also recognized by Railway Sports Promotion Board.
(c) Sports Achievements within the immediate previous two financial years (i.e. on or after 01.04.2009) and current financial year (2011-12) shall only be considered for appointment. Activeness in sports will be adjudged as per the performance during the field trial.
(d) For the norms mentioned above, only Senior National & Junior National Championships shall be taken into consideration. National Games, Rural meets, Festival meets & other similar Tournaments shall not be
considered.
Mode of Selection
(a) Selection will consist of trial followed by a personal interview.
(b) Only candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be subjected to the selection process.
(c) Candidates are required to bring their original certificates when they are called for the selection process.
(d) Only those candidates who are declared FIT in the trial will be called for interview. The candidates will be finally selected for employment only if they pass the medical examination prescribed for the post to which he will be appointed.
How to Apply
Applications should be strictly in the prescribed format as appended, shall be filled in an A4 size GSM Bond paper. The application format is also available in the ICF website www.icf.indianrailways.gov.in Along with the application form, an IPO for an amount of Rs.40/- should be enclosed. Attested photocopies of the following documents should be enclosed:
(a) Proof of Educational Qualification.
(b) Proof of Date of Birth {any one of Birth Certificate, Std X- TC, Matric mark list}.
(c) SC/ST/OBC certificate in the format as prescribed in the Central Government order. If proof is not enclosed such candidates will be considered as Unreserved candidates, provided fee is paid, otherwise
application will be rejected.
(d) Department / Government service candidates must enclose a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer.
(e) Necessary testimonials concerning the Sports activities up to the date of application.
The application along with the above enclosures, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, should be tied and put in an envelope. On top of the envelope “Application for Sports Recruitment – Category ” should be written
in Block letters and write the category applied for. It should be addressed to the ASSISTANT PERSONNEL OFFICER/G, INTEGRAL COACH FACTORY, CHENNAI – 600 038 and sent by ordinary post only. The
candidates can also drop the envelopes in the box provided for this purpose at Welfare Centre/Shell Division/ICF, Chennai-38.
