1. Schedule:
– Date of publication of notification on website: 12/09/2023
– Opening date of online application: 27/09/2023

Online Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for training as Act Apprentices in Workshops and Divisions of Eastern Railway, as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Applications must be submitted online through the official website of RRC-ER. No other mode of application will be accepted.

The online application link will be active on the official RRC-ER website from 27/09/2023 to 26/10/2023. Candidates should follow the instructions in this notification while filling out their application forms.
2. Trade, Unit, and Community-Wise Breakup of Training Slots:
– Note: The number of slots mentioned in this notification is provisional and subject to change based on the actual needs of the railway administration.

3. Educational Qualification:
– Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board. Additionally, they should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
4. Medical Fitness:
– Candidates must meet the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time.
5. Mode of Selection:
– The selection of candidates for training slots in Eastern Railway units will be based on merit prepared from the data provided in the online application form. The merit list will be determined using a specific formula.
6. Application Fees:
– Application fees: Rs.100/- (Not applicable for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates)
– Payment to be made online through ‘Payment Gateway’ available during the online application process.
7. How to Apply:
– Candidates must apply online through the link provided on the official RRC/ER Kolkata website. Detailed instructions for filling the online application form are available on the website.
8. Documents to be Uploaded:
– Scanned Photograph
– Scanned Signature
– Standard 10th mark sheet
– ITI Certificate from NCVT/SCVT
– Community certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS
– PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
