Fresh elections are proposed to be conducted for formation of Staff Council in terms of Rules for formation and functions of Staff Council in Rail Wheel Factory.
The staff Council will be formed with 8 elected representatives amongst the non- gazetted staff working in Rail Wheel Factory as indicated in para 4.3.1 of revised Rules for formation and functions of Staff Council in RWF. Duration of elected members of this Staff council will be three years.
Eligibility:
- All non-gazetted staff (excluding employees under suspension. from duty, employees against whom Minor/Major penalty proceedings are pending or undergoing punishment of Minor/Major penalty, apprentices and substitutes) with more than 3 years continuous service as on 31.03.2017 will be eligible for contesting in the election to the Staff Council.
- For determining eligibility for contesting in the election, continuous service, used therein would mean 3 years service as on 31.03.2017
- All the non-gazetted staff (excluding employees under suspension from auty, apprentices and substitutes) who were in service as on 31.03.2017 will be eligible to exercise their franchise.
- Nominations for elections to the Staff Council are hereby called from such of the eligible employees who are desirous of contesting in elections in respect of the 8 (eight) groups referred in the enclosed Annexure
- Nomination of every candidate shall be made only in the prescribed proforma (Specimen enclosed – Annexure IC’) and all columns detailed therein are to be filled up legibly and completely failing which the nomination will be treated as ‘Invalid’.

The nomination papers should be addressed to the President, Staff Council (Chief Mechanical Engineer) in a closed envelope duly superscribing as “Nomination for
Election to the Staff CounciltRWF, Group No. 7) - The closed envelope should be handed over to SPO/APO in person by obtaining necessary acknowledgement therefor.
The nomination papers will be received till 15:00 Hrs. on 15.05.2017
Nomination paper received thereafter will not be considered.
