Applications are invited in prescribed format (Annexure-A) from willing and ELIGIBLE candidates for direct recruitment by selection in Level-2 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC against Cultural Quota for the year 2019-20 in Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli. Notified posts are open to all candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories who apply against this notification will be extended relaxation as admissible in general open market recruitment. However, in case of being selected with any relaxation on account of being a candidates from the above categories, he/she will be taken against reserved roster point. Merely applying to the post does not entitle the candidate being eligible for Written Examination, Candidature of the applicant is provisional at all stages of selection process subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions.

Age limit
The candidate should be aged between 18 to 30 years as on 01-07-2019. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per the extant rules like for 05 yrs in case of SC/ST candidates, 03 yrs in case of OBC candidates, Serving Railways Employees on Completion of 03 yrs regular Railway Services are eligible upto 40 yrs of age for UR, 45 yrs of age for SC/ST& 43 yrs of age for OBC etc.

- below Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) drawn in favour of Principal Finacial Advisor, Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli. This Examination Fee is not refundable/ transferable/adjustable under any circumstance.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities, Women, Ex-Serviceman, Minorities {Muslim, Jains, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis), Persons with Disabilities, and those belonging to economically weaker sections (whose family income is less than Rs. 50,000/- per annum) should submit with the application an India Postal Order (IPO) (issued only after the date of this notification ) Rs. 2501- (Two Hundred Fifty Only) drawn in favour of Princiapal Financial advisor, Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli, A Provision for refund will be applicable only to those applicants who actually appear in the written examination.
About Modern Coach Factory
In 2007, Indian Railways decided to set up it’s third railway passenger coaches manufacturing unit in Lalganj, distt Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh. Foundation stone was laid in 2007 and construction work started in 2009. In Dec 2015, it was named as Modern Coach Factory. It was planned at a total cost of Rs 3,192 Crore, with annual production capacity of 1000 coaches. MCF is located around 3 km away from Lalganj on Kanpur-Raebareli road (85 km from Lucknow).
The first completely in-house manufactured coach was turned out in August 2014. Since then, MCF has almost doubled it’s production year by year, starting from 140 coaches in 2014-15, to 285 coaches in 2015-16, then 576 coaches in 2016-17 and first time achieving the given production target of 710 coaches by manufacturing 711 coaches in 2017-18 ,MCF has turned out 1425 coaches in 2018-19 against a target of 1422 coaches.
General Instructions
- All the recruitment against Open quota shall be at the minimum of scale of pay in the Level-2 of pay matrix as per 7th CPC.
- Specific post and place of posting will be decided by the MCF administration at the time of offering appointment to the selected candidates.
- No relaxation in Educational and Cultural qualification shall be permissible. No post is reserved for SC, ST and OBC; however the candidates claiming to belong to SC/ST/OBC communities are required to enclose copy of self-attested Caste Certificate Issued by Competent Authority.
- Railway Administration reserves the right to recruit eligible candidates at any place. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/ Costly items to the examination hail as safe keeping of these items can not be assured. Administration will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
- The decision of MCF Administration on all matters relating to eligibility place, date, mode of selection acceptance or rejection, recommendation of post, place of posting, grade etc. shall be final and binding on the candidates.
- All applications received shall be scrutinised by MCF administration to shortlist candidates.
- The short listed eligible candidates may be required to stay for more than one day for the written examination. Practical demonstration and documents verification for the selection procedure for which they will have to make their own arrangements.
