Integral Coach Factory proposes to engage 4 Full Time Medical Practitioners on contract basis at Railway Hospital, ICF, Chennai – 38 for a duration of one year (Scheduled Caste – 1, Other Backward Class – 1 and Unreserved – 2), on details of the posts and experience required are furnished below:

Remuneration : Specialist : Rs.46,800/- p.m
General Duty Medical Officer : Rs.39,400/- p.m
(The remuneration specified above includes the amount of Rs.6,838/-, Rs.5,250/- as House Rent Allowance and Rs.3,712/- as transport allowance)
Retired Railway Doctors : Applications for the above are also invited from retired Railway Doctors.
Remuneration : Retired Railway Doctors: Rs.46,000/- p.m (subject to the condition that remuneration + Pension drawn by retired Railway Doctors should not exceed the
last pay drawn)
Qualifications & experience:
Specialist: The candidate should be post-graduate in the specialty or equivalent and registered with the Indian Medical Council. One year experience in the respective speciality is desirable.
General Duty Medical Officer: The candidate should be M.B.B.S. and registered with the Indian medical Council. One year experience is desirable.
Age: Should not have completed more than 50 years as on the date of notification. However, age relaxation is admissible for 5 years to SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates. The retired railway doctors should not have completed 65 years of age.
The engagement of doctors would be on Full Time Contract basis for a period of one year or lesser or till regularly selected ADMOs are available, whichever is earlier. Further, the services of these doctors are also terminable before the expiry of one year by giving 15 days notice by either side without assigning any reason whatsoever. The services rendered as contract doctor is a stop-gap arrangement and will not have any bearing in respect of consideration of their period of service in case of regular selection through UPSC. It will also not confer any right for regularization or absorption. No private practice is allowed.
