APPOINTMENT OF TECHNICAL DIRECTORS
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The project envisages establishing a Metro Rail system in the city of Bangalore in phases.
The Company invites applications for the posts of Director (Project & Planning) and Director (Rolling Stock, S & T, Electrical). The Directors will be Members on the Board of Directors of the Company and will report to the Managing Director.
A. DIRECTOR (PROJECT & PLANNING)
Job Description & Responsibilities:
He / She will be overall responsible for all construction activities, planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling of preliminary and final designs, tendering, civil works and track works, contract administration, monitoring of construction and commissioning etc. He will also be
responsible for project monitoring, interface management, quality assurance and safety, cost control of works under his charge, land acquisition, rehabilitation of project affected persons / business, utility and traffic diversions etc. required for construction works. He shall also be
responsible for planning extension of the Project lines.
B. DIRECTOR (ROLLING STOCK, S & T, ELECTRICAL)
Job Description & Responsibilities:
He / she will be responsible for the overall planning of System works for the project including finalization of Technical specifications, design and architecture, tendering for system works, contracting, overall project administration. Monitoring of construction, Integrated Testing and Commissioning, Project monitoring, interface management, quality assurance, safety and cost control for systems, comprising of Rolling Stock, Signaling, Telecommunication, Traction, Power systems and Electrical/Mechanical works at Stations etc.
Procedure for application:
Application furnishing a comprehensive Bio –data including name, fathers name, date of birth, postal address, details of qualification and experience (covering organization, position held with areas of responsibility and emoluments drawn) supported by attested copies of documents along with two copies of passport size photograph and a non-refundable bank draft of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred) only in favour of “Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited” in a sealed envelope superscribed as “Application for the post of Director (Rolling Stock, S & T, Electrical) / Director (Project & Planning)” should reach the

Persons employed in Government Departments / Public Sector Undertakings shall apply through proper channel and shall produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their employers at the time of Interview. Candidates who belong to the category of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes need not submit the non-refundable bank draft of Rs. 100/- Applications received late / incomplete and/or without the bank draft wherever applicable will not be entertained.
