Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi invites applications in the prescribed format from Sports persons (Men only) for recruitment under sports quota in Pay Band +G.P. (5200-20200+1900 G.P.) & Pay Band +G.P. (5200-20200+1800 G.P.) for the year 2012-13 for the following Disciplines:-
Basket Ball
Pay Band 5200-20200, GP1900/-
Football
Pay Band 5200-20200, GP1900/- Left Winger
Hockey
Pay Band 5200-20200, GP1900/- Center Forward
Volleyball
Pay Band 5200-20200, GP1900/- Center Blocker
Handball
Pay Band 5200-20200, GP1900/-
Mode of Recruitment : Sports Trial followed by interview:-
How to apply : Application in the format as given below along with enclosures should be sent to Dy CPO / H.Q., GM (P) office, DLW/Varanasi, 221004 by General post only so as to reach latest by 28/01/2013 at 16.30 hrs. Subscribe on the envelope “Recruitment against sports quota 2012- 13”. Applications received after this date will not be entertained.
Application Fees : A crossed postal order for the following Grade Pay payable in favor of “The FA & CAO, DLW, Varanasi” should be enclosed along with the application. ” For Grade pay 1900 & 1800/- Rs 40/- (No fee for SC/ST Candidates
Other instructions:-Self attested new passport size photograph should be pasted at proper place in the application.
(i) Two self attested passport size photographs and copies of documents viz birth, educational, caste and sports achievements duly attested by Gazetted Officer should be attached with the application.
(ii) Two self addressed envelops affixed with postal stamp of Rs.5/- (not necessary for SC/ST candidates) should also be attached.
(iii) Last date for receipt of applications is 28/01/2013
(iv) No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the trail/interview. 2nd class free pass will be given to SC/ST candidates only for appearing in interview. Bring all original documents on the date of interview without which the candidates will not be allowed to appear in the selection.
Note :- In Hockey, for recruitment against the posts having Grade Pay 1900 or 2000 in Pay Band 5200-20200, at least 2nd position in the International Tournaments of four of more nations, may also be considered. .
(ii) All the championship mentioned above should be conducted under the aegis of recognized International/ National/State Sports Federations and also recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board. (iii) Sports Achievement shall be in the immediate preceding two financial years (2010-11 & 2011-12) & Sports persons should be an active player.
