(For candidates residing at Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and all serving employees, the last date is 15.02.2011 @ 17:00 hrs) Applications are invited in the prescribed format from Indian citizens who are talented and accomplished sports persons for recruitment in ICF against Sports Quota satisfying the eligibility criteria, indicated hereunder.
Post & Scale of Pay: Clerk Grade-II in scale Pay Band-1 Rs. 5200-20200 + Rs.1900/- Grade Pay (as per 6th CPC scale)
Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2011. No relaxation in lower or upper age limit is permissible.
Educational Qualification
Matriculation or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.* NOTE: Those selected are required to possess proficiency in Typewriting of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi within a period of TWO years from the date of appointment. *For SC/ST mere pass in matriculation is sufficient.
Sportsmen who have any of the following sports achievement in the respective games:
Minimum norms for sports recruitment
(a) Represented the country in the International Championships (Olympic games, World cup, World championships, Asian games, Common wealth games ), [Asian championships, Common wealth championships and obtained at least 3rd Position] (or)
(b) Represented State or equivalent Unit, in Junior/Senior National Championships and obtained at least 3rd Position (or)
(c) Represented a University in All India Inter-University Championship Organised under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 2nd position (or)
(d) Represented State or Equivalent unit in the Federation Cup championship (senior category) and obtained 1st position.
Fee: A fee of Rs.40/- (Rupees Forty only) should be paid only through crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Asst. Personnel Officer/ICF payable at Chennai. Candidates must write their name, full address at the space provided in the postal order. This fee is not refundable under any circumstances. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
How to apply
Along with the application form, an IPO for an amount of Rs.40/-, wherever fees is applicable, should be enclosed. Attested photocopies of the following documents should be enclosed:
(a) Proof of Educational Qualification.
(b) Proof of Date of Birth (any one of Birth Certificate, Std X TC, Std X or XII Mark List etc.)
(c) SC/ST/OBC certificate in the format as prescribed in the Central Government order. If proof is not enclosed such candidates will be considered as Unreserved candidates, provided fee is paid otherwise application will be rejected.
(d) Department/Government service candidates must enclose a No Objection Certificate.
(e) Necessary testimonials concerning the sports activities up to the date of application.
The application along with the above enclosures, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer, should be tied and put in an envelope. On top of the envelope “Application for Sports Quota Recruitment – Category:” should be written in Block letters and write the category applied for. It should be addressed to the
